Coco and Eve - Like a Virgin Hair Mask

I encountered this product when scrolling through my feed, with women flaunting beautiful shiny radiant hair and decided to do some research and read some honest reviews. There were few out there that gave me exactly what I wanted to know so I bit the bullet and bought a tub.

My. Oh. My.

Safe to say it’s going on my permanent hair staples next to my hairdryer. I have been using this daily – albeit off label.

See the instructions were to use it like a traditional hair mask, apply, wait and wash out thoroughly.

The way this product works best for me is more of a finalizing step after conditioning or replacing a conditioner. For you see dear reader, I have tried to apply it after shampoo and found my hair so detangled (with the help of their detangling brush) and soft that I didn’t need a conditioner most days! I wash out enough but keep a small amount so when my hair is so soft and wavy.

At the start I was using a pea sized amount but started to use more a couple of finger-tips worth just to get the tips saturated. I think the scent is barely present after washing out most of it. Definitely not irritating to my scalp.

If I had to place this product among my skincare and beauty items I would say it’s a stable product. Something to be used every day with no thought just to keep that shiny soft look.

Price wise, its definitely very mid ranged, one tub has lasted me 2 months or so. A tub is currently 55 dollars so perhaps a dollar a day.

My main issues now are with the last few months, my hair doesn’t look as good in ponies and my French twists lack volume. Instead I have to hairspray my fringe up to maintain that poofy fringe look. Definitely worth a try.

However after the success of Coco and eve, like a virgin, I tried a tub of sweet repair hair mask with my next order. This one definitely while touted to be thicker and more effective, I did not find worked well on my hair like the magic of Like a virgin. Its sitting unused next to my stock of the green topped tub. It just washes out with not much effect, as if it has the effect of only making my hair heavier after using it. I have tried steaming with this product and while feeling luxurious, does do that much at all. At the same price point and opportunity cost, I would say Like an virgin is more beneficial.
